Rectors Conference Regional Roundtable

Karachi, October 20, 2023: Greenwich University, together with the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP) Sindh chapter, hosted the Rectors Conference Regional Roundtable in Karachi. Vice Chancellor Greenwich University and Secretary General, Sindh, APSUP, Ms. Seema Mughal, welcomed the esteemed guests, including all VCs of private and public sector universities (Sindh), APSUP directors and management, delegates from HEC Islamabad and Sindh, and members of collaborative partners. As a prelude to the main event of the 4th Rectors' Conference, scheduled from December 1-3, 2023, in Islamabad, the Roundtable engaged thought-leaders from Academia to formulate recommendations for transforming education in Pakistan addressing three key themes through in-depth discussions and collaborative sessions: Pakistan’s Higher Education and Global Challenges, Strategies for creating impact through the integration of entrepreneurship and research commercialization in higher education, and assessing the impact of emerging technologies and AI on higher education. The eagerly anticipated 4th Rectors' Conference 2023, to be organized by the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), is set to be a pivotal event in the realm of higher education in Pakistan. The conference, aptly themed "Sustainable Workforce Development: HR, Innovation, and Technology in Harmony," promises to delve into critical areas of academia-industry collaboration, focusing on the interplay of human resources, innovation, and technology. With a diverse array of themes and sub-themes, this event seeks to forge stronger ties between academia and industry, ultimately paving the way for a more sustainable and innovative workforce. The conclusions at the Roundtable in Karachi will inform the deliberative processes at the main conference.
