The MPhil program is designed to strengthen academic, analytical, and research capabilities, preparing students for advanced professional roles and progression into PhD studies. The program combines advanced coursework with supervised research to build subject expertise, critical inquiry, and scholarly confidence.
Candidates interested in pursuing an MPhil degree must fulfill the following academic and admission requirements.
Minimum 16 years of education, BS, MA, MSc, or equivalent, from an HEC-recognized university.
Minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 under the semester system, or Second Division under the annual system.
Applicants must pass GAT General with at least 50%, or a university-based admission test with an equivalent score.
Candidates from unrelated academic backgrounds may be considered subject to departmental review and approval.
Applicants may be required to complete up to 12 credit hours of deficiency or bridging courses as determined by the Doctoral Committee.
Deficiency courses must be completed within the first year and do not count toward MPhil degree credit requirements.
