Program Overview

Greenwich offers a fine combination of interdisciplinary, pedagogical, and professional courses with teaching practicum for your B.Ed.

  • Emphasizes a bridging semester followed by standard B.Ed. semesters.
  • Integrates supervised school observation in the third semester.

B.Ed. 1.5-year (18 months; maximum completion time up to 4 years)
  1. Designated for candidates with 16 years of education in a non-education field (e.g., BS/MA/MSc in a non-education discipline).
  2. Recognized for employment and further education (e.g., MS/MPhil in Education) equivalently to a standard four-year B.Ed.
  3. Fast-track to B.Ed. for those with more advanced academic background.
  4. B.Ed. 1.5-yr is more compact and concentrated—ideal if you already have substantial academic credentials.
B.Ed. 2.5-year: (30 months - maximum completion time up to 4 years)
  1. For candidates with 14 years of education (e.g., BA/BSc/ADA or equivalent).
  2. Acts as a bridging route to the standard B.Ed. framework, often including an initial semester followed by the last four semesters of the 4-year B.Ed. program.
  3. Recognized similarly for further education and employment as the four-year B.Ed.
  4. Builds upon a BA/BSc background, adding education-specific coursework & training.
  5. B.Ed. 2.5-yr is a fuller program with more course exposure—suited to those transitioning from a more general academic background.
  6. Includes more extensive practicum sessions and a research project, giving deeper practical and research experiences.
